Stellar Strings: Stephen Larsen @ Rangi Ruru
Stephen Larsen is a well-known New Zealand violin teacher. His students, who include several Rangi current music scholars and alumni, have enjoyed success in numerous competitions on a national and international level, and have gone on to work and study all over the world.
Stephen has a strong interest and expertise in violin pedagogy, and is regularly invited to give lessons, masterclasses and seminars on violin playing and teaching throughout New Zealand.
He maintains a busy teaching schedule, teaching violin and viola at the University of Auckland and the Albany School of Music. In addition he travels regularly to Christchurch to teach a small number of highly talented violin and viola students.

- Workshop A 11.00 – 11.55am String playing techniques
- Workshop B 12noon – 1pm Strategies for effective practicing
Admission: $10 per workshop, $15 for both workshops. Door sales available, cash only.
Active participants and observers welcome. Participants please bring your instruments. Workshop A is tailored specifically for string players. Workshop B is suited to all musicians who wish to fine-tune their practice techniques.
