Rangi Ruru Supports Include A Charity Week

Include A Charity Week (5-11 September) is a time to think about leaving a gift in your will, making a positive difference to a charity, community or organisation that you are passionate about – a charity such as the Rangi Ruru Foundation.

A bequest is an opportunity to continue to support Rangi Ruru after you’ve gone or to support it as you have always wanted to but been unable to in your lifetime. It can be much larger than any cash gift you can make to the school in your lifetime and the difference it can make to the lives of future Rangi girls can be far greater.

Rangi Ruru recognises that many people have already thought of and are intending on leaving a gift to the school, helping Rangi Ruru to remain a leading provider of education and opportunities beyond the classroom, ensuring future generations are given the opportunity to excel and be the best they can be.

Rangi Ruru celebrates this generosity through a special group known as the Gibson Circle, a group of like-minded people who have shared their desire to leave a gift to the school. The Gibson Circle are invited to get together regularly to share life stories, have luncheons and morning teas and hear from interesting speakers, talented students and get updates on progress within the school. If you intend to leave a gift to Rangi Ruru we encourage you to let us know, we would love you to be a part of this very special group of people, the Gibson Circle.

Liz Lovell has had a long relationship with Rangi Ruru, firstly as a student then as a parent, PTA President, Rangi Ruru Old Girls’ Association President and now member of the Gibson Circle. In reflecting on the importance of leaving a gift in her will she says, “I value education, and education for girls particularly, so leaving a gift in my will to Rangi is my small way of ensuring there remains choice in schooling here in Christchurch. By enabling Rangi to continue to provide first class, all round education for our girls, we continue a legacy of empowerment and opportunity for them that I believe makes a difference.”

As you consider the future, we ask that you consider the difference a gift to Rangi Ruru could make.
