PHOE Project Voting Now Open
Voting is now open to select the winning video in the Picture Happiness on Earth Project, which will see a Rangi Ruru girl represent New Zealand at the Science Centre World Summit in Tokyo in November.
Working in collaboration with Science Alive and Miraikan (the Japanese National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation), Rangi Ruru’s Year 10 class are participating in the project to explore ways that people can work together to find solutions to challenges in order to assure the sustainability of Earth.
In small groups, the girls have completed workshops and created a video on a topic of their choice, considering their issue from a local, New Zealand and global perspective. Their videos are available for viewing and are open to public vote with one video selected as the overall winner from New Zealand. As well and the opportunity travel to Japan to speak at the Summit, the winning video will also be projected on the Geo-Cosmos at Miraikan, along with the winning videos from the five other countries involved.
This year groups from South Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Australia, Thailand and New Zealand have been selected to take part in the project.

Closing date for voting is 30 April.
