On Sunday 2nd September Rangi Ruru is running an organ recital in St Andrew’s Chapel. Featuring Valerie Xiang, a St Andrew’s at Rangi Ruru Organ Scholar, and Max Toth, a Christ’s College Organ Student.

More About Valerie Xiang
Valerie is in Year 13 and Rangi’s Head of Music for 2018. She has held the St Andrew’s at Rangi Ruru Organ Scholarship for five years, and last year passed her ARSM Diploma on the Organ with Distinction. Valerie is heavily involved in a wide range of music groups at Rangi – including Chamber music (twice National finalist), Percussion Ensemble, Rangi Sinfonia, and Resolutions (national finalist). In addition to being a very fine organist Valerie is a talented pianist, percussionist and composer, with a recent composition for orchestra – titled Matariki – winning first prize in the Risingholme Orchestra Meaningful Musical Miniatures composition competition.
