Christchurch Speech & Drama Competitions

Congratulations to our students who recently competed in the Christchurch Speech & Drama Competitions.

Anna Bruce came first in the English Speaking Union Canterbury Scholarship and Georgia Dunn came second. Missing is Georgia Dunn who was absent at the time of the prize giving.
Their work was of such a high standard that both have been nominated to take part in the Young Performer of the Year Award in Palmerston North in October.

Grace Luxon came first in her poetry section and second in her acting section.

Amelia Adriaens and Ella Stephens came first in their duologue section and received the highest marks in their age group in the Competitions

Although Cindy Xiong didn’t receive a trophy she came first in the light verse, second in her acting class, 2nd in Prose reading and third in her Own Selection Poem.

Laura Yao came third in her prepared poetry reading class.

Daisy Auker-Woor came second in her poetry class.
