1. Canterbury SS Aerobics Competition

    If you are interested in entering the Canterbury Secondary Schools Aerobics competition, please contact Ms Anderson by Tuesday 30 May. Entries close on Wed 31 May. This is only available to girls who have been training outside of school with a coach/instructor. The event is on Tuesday 13 June.

  3. Year 7/8 CAIMS Gymnastics Meeting – Mon 22nd May

    There will be a meeting in the gym at interval on Monday 22nd May for all year 7 & 8 students interested in entering the CAIMS gymnastics competition later this term in June. Please come along to the meeting if you are interested in entering both the competitive or recreational division.


    If you are interested in entering the hugely popular UC Secondary Schools Mud Run, please pick up and information sheet and entry form from outside Ms Anderson’s office.   5. Senior Badminton Trials – Wednesday 10th & Thursday 11th May

    Senior A badminton trials will be held today and tomorrow in the gym. The first trial will be today after school 2.45pm – 3.45pm and the second trial will be tomorrow lunchtime 12.45pm – 1.35pm. Please be there promptly, and if you have any issues please see Mr Piggott. Thanks

  6. Weekly Sport Information

    A reminder regarding weekly sport – hockey and cycling will continue this Wednesday, the first round of basketball will be this Friday, and all other sports will begin next week. Thanks.

  7. Cross Country information – 3 May, 1.45pm

    GENERAL INFORMATION Eat a snack or a portion of your lunch at interval. Keep more food and a drink for after the race. Wear your Sports Uniform.   8. Year 7 & 8 Hockey Trials

    Hockey trials for year 7 & 8’s will be held tomorrow (Tuesday 2nd May). Please be ready to go on the turf at the end of lunch, 1.35pm. Any issues see Mr Piggott in the Sports Office.

  9. Trials for Year 7 & 8 Hockey – Thursday 6th April

    The first trial for the year 7 & 8 hockey teams will be held next Thursday lunchtime. Please be at the turf ready to go as soon as possible. Any other questions please see Mr Piggott in the sports office.

  10. Trials for Intermediate A and Senior A Basketball

    Trials for Intermediate A and Senior A Basketball are next Tuesday and Thursday (4 and 6 April), 4-6pm. All basketballers from Y9-13 welcome. Please make sure everyone knows, and be on the court ready to go 5 minutes before start time.

  11. Cycling Terms 2 and 3

    Cycling commences Week 1 Term 2. There will be a meeting beginning of interval Tuesday 4th April in X13 for all girls interested in cycling. This includes new and those who have previously cycled. There will be an outline of the programme for cycling at Rangi this year.

  12. Canterbury Secondary Schools Sailing Regatta – Monday 3rd April

    The Canterbury Secondary Schools’ Regatta will be held on Monday 3rd April at the Mount Pleasant Yacht Club.   13. Take your PE/Sports gear with you

    Please take your PE/Sports gear with you rather than leave it in the changing room. There is not enough room for your gear and three (sometimes four) classes of girls. It is a hazard as some girls do not have enough space to get changed.

  14. Canterbury Secondary Schools – Golf Teams & Individual Championship

    We are looking for girls who would be interested to represent the school in the Canterbury Golf Champs on Monday 6th March. The championship requires a team of 4, as well as individual entries.     Learn to  play polo – exciting riding! Coaching takes place after school on Thursdays. Contact Ms Young or Eliza Acton-Adams [Polo Captain].
